We got it!!!

The wonderful news is that St Moritz has been chosen to host the 2017 World Alpine Ski Championships – and suddenly 2017 does not seem that far away given the amount of preparation!! Mind you this will be the fifth time they host it so it should come naturally to them!

There is little doubt what won the judges over – the fabulous slopes, the promise of good weather, the glamour and cosmopolitan atmosphere of St. Moritz not to mention the enthusiasm of the inhabitants of the Engadin which is bound to guarantee a host of dedicated volunteers.

Well deserved celebrations took place for the committee members of St Moritz following the announcement at the FIS Congress at Kangwonland in Jeongseon, in South Korea.

Meanwhile, it was announced that the 2016 world championships in sky flying will be hosted by Kulm in Austria, and the 2017 freestyle and snowboard world championships will be held in Sierra Nevada, Spain.
