Twenty four hours ago Max Franz of the Austrian team was training hard for the Men’s Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup – so what was he up to today given that the heavy snowfall had prevented further training? Well he was kept busy cooking homemade pasta and then serving Sandro Viletta and Patrick Kung of Switzerland along with Hans Olsson of Sweden.
In fact all the star skiers swapped their ski suits for aprons today and got cooking with the top St Moritz chefs for the final of the Gourmet Festival. It might have been impromptu, but it was certainly lots of fun not to mention a rather delicious way of passing the time!
The skiers turned their hands to experimenting with various ingredients from lobster to truffles, then moved on to mouth watering meringues for dessert. They should be feeling perfectly replete and ready for tomorrow’s racing!
