Gin truffles overcome snow overload

Snow is of course what we thrive on at this time of the year, well snow and sunshine actually. However we have had a little bit more than we bargained for this year and it is causing some sporting events to be shifted around. The Men’s Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup training was postponed last week, however the actual event saw the American Ligety win and the group move on to Sochi, with some additional cooking skills under their salopettes!

Now the heavy snowfall has meant that the World class free skiers and snowboarders event has been shifted by a day – never mind, there is always plenty to take our minds of postponed events and my current entertainment is the discovery of Hauser’s home-made gin filled truffles. They launched a new gin – Breil Pur – this week and to celebrate the event created these totally decadent, melt-in-your-mouth, gin-soaked truffles.

Place one on your tongue and you won’t even notice the snow banking up on either side of you as you walk home! Heavenly!
