A few days ago it registered 24 degrees in the sun up here – it was simply stunning. Bit chillier when the sun went down but we all went to bed with brown, some red, faces! And then we got a 30 cm dump of rather wet snow, which turned us back to Winter again.
Hence my choice of illustrations this week, which originates from a series of beautiful vintage posters which have been on exhibition here to celebrate the 150 years of Winter Tourism.
You get a sense that it portrays a typical Spring day up here, blowing hot and cold, Summer and back to Winter within the space of 24 hours!
As many of the roads are currently being redone this must be playing havoc with the workers who seem to battle on regardless. Can’t wait for some proper, long lasting good weather to set up camp!
