It is coming close to the end of the ski season – we are in the cusp period when it all quietens down on the slopes and is about to rev up for new activities. It is a delightful period as it is peaceful, less people, less rush, less fizz and a general sense of taking stock.
Whilst it has been a wonderful ski season with plenty of great snow – unlike last Winter when we had back to back blue skies and had to make most of our snow – I am very much looking forward to walking in warmer sunshine! It is not quite there yet but the walking in the sunshine bit is already happening and as ever the colourful landscape that emerges from under its white coat is stunning!
There is no doubt that whatever you do here there is always an element of breath taking beauty and some classy snazziness that makes it stand shoulders above the rest – I found myself humming this as I walked around the lake – it’s not what you do it’s the way that you do it – how true of St Moritz!
